Finzer Roller Acquires the Majority of the Manufacturing Assets of American Elastomer Products

Des Plaines, IL, May 1, 2017 – Finzer Roller today announced that it has acquired the majority of the manufacturing assets of American Elastomer Products of Houston, Texas.

“Finzer Roller is a significant supplier of rubber and urethane rollers in the Texas marketplace. American Elastomer Products was a capable competitor of ours for many years. We are excited to expand Finzer’s presence in Texas through this acquisition,” said Randy Apperson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Finzer Roller.

American Elastomer Products sold rubber covered rollers, mandrel built goods and rubber molded parts. They had more than twenty employees. The majority of associates have accepted jobs with Finzer Roller or American Packing and Gasket, the parent company of American Elastomer Products. Manufacturing has ceased in Houston and will be shifted to other Finzer locations.

Founded in 1968, Finzer Roller is a one-stop resource for rubber rollers and specialty coatings, including steel roller cores, replacement rubber coverings and peripheral products. The company services the film and foil packaging, corrugated box, wood, wood finishing, metal, graphic arts and other precision application industries. Headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, Finzer maintains manufacturing and sales facilities in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and supports customers in western U.S. states in collaboration with a strategic alliance partner, Imperial Rubber Products in California.
